Re imagined Jewelry Box

Hello! All my crafty friends...

Some of you may recognize this box from my last post. With all the tiny paper details I had to take a break from it. So here it is finally complete!

This was completed for Rhedds Creative Spirit. A new design team I was so lucky to join!
From here on out you will see ll new reimagined projects!

Squelettique is Back!

IM BACK!

As some may know I am an art student and recently have been working on my undergrad degree! Well I finally have balanced life back in order and felt the need to show my blog some love again. You can see new craft projects varying in mediums every month.

This project is a start to an altered jewelry box!
I'm decorating it completely in Graphic 45 papers.

Another Graphic 45 project. This started out as a collage for a clock but then I decided that it would be gorgeous as a card. So here it is a fussy cut card made from Graphic 45 paper.

Look back to the blog early next month for new projects and maybe a turorial!

Mermaid Mirror -The Mirror Crack'd Water Challenge

The Mirror Crack'd November Challenge: Water

Welcome to our November Challenge.

Our theme for the month is Water.
Splish, splash, splosh!
Water is such an integral part of our lives, the weather, rain, snow or storms. The landscape, the ocean, rivers and waterfalls. In our homes, cooking and cleaning. So many sports involve water, leisure and pleasure!
Show us your inspiration, what will you create?
We are intrigued, will it be a scrap page, a canvas, a card, a 3D project or a tag?

Our host is Jan, and she will be choosing our Winner and Top 5.

I started off with a simple framed mirror. I taped off the mirror and painted over the bare wood.

I decided to use a few stenciling techniques, one with texture paste and another with sprays.

I then created a mermaid embellishment with scrapbook paper and hot glue to add texture.

I proceeded to add layers of texture paste and embellishments to create the final product.

Mixed Media Canvas

Mixed Media Canvas

I wanted to experiment with some new paints I purchased at Michaels and decided to
create a fun little canvas peice. The embellishments are all from Tim Holtz, the butterflies are done
with texture paste and a stencil and the background is created with a mix of paint and ink.

Art Shrine for The Mirror Crack'd

Edgar Allan Poe Shrine

This art shrine was a lot of fun, the challenge was to create a shrine using elements
selected from a tic tac toe board provided on the blog The Mirror Crack'd.

For my shrine I chose the top row, Gothic/Steampunk, Insects and 3D or 2D.
I also decided to include texture in my design as well.

IM BACK!
